When your dentist is part of the neighbourhood
Living close to your dentist changes how treatment can be planned. Work that needs several visits — a root canal followed by a crown, or a child's fillings split into short sessions — can be spread out sensibly instead of crammed into one long appointment.
Small problems get dealt with as well. A filling that catches when you bite, or a crown edge that feels rough, is a ten-minute check when the clinic is round the corner — and exactly the kind of thing people put off for a year when the dentist is across the city.
When something is urgent, nearness is the whole advantage. Message the clinic, describe what has happened, and if it needs to be seen today you are minutes away rather than stuck in traffic on GS Road.
